Privacy Policy
Short version: PawPlate is a simple information site and collects as little as possible.
Template only — have a lawyer review and complete the bracketed items before publishing. Last updated: [date].
What we collect
PawPlate has no accounts and no login. Food searches run entirely in your browser and aren't sent to us or stored. We don't sell or share personal information.
Contact form
The contact form opens your own email app to send a message — anything you type stays on your device until you choose to send it. We only receive what you email us, and we use it solely to reply.
Cookies & analytics
By default the site sets no tracking cookies. If we add privacy-respecting analytics later, we'll disclose it here. [If you enable analytics or ads, describe them here.]
Donations & third parties
When donations are enabled, payments are handled by a third-party processor (such as Stripe or PayPal). We never see your full card details — the processor's own privacy policy governs that data. Our host, [hosting provider], may log basic request data such as IP addresses for security.
Children
PawPlate is a general-audience information site, isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Your choices & contact
To ask what we hold or request deletion, email hello@pawplate.org. Depending on where you live you may have rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA — contact us and we'll help.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change. Governing law: [your jurisdiction].
